loss and an apple tree

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180942679603#ht_500wt_949

I think our apple tree may be dying.  Our neighbors have a big cedar and the tree is eaten alive every year with cedar apple rust.  I think this year may have finally done it in.

Can you mourn the loss of a tree?  I am trying not to think about it.  Loss seems to be the order of the day right now.  Husband's job, daughter getting married into a family that lives far away, tooth.

I am being positive in saying "right now".  But what else can I do?  I don't necessarily believe all will get better, but I do think focusing on the positive will keep me from waking every morning thinking I'm living in a nightmare and wishing I was back in my dreaming.
